Ground Broken at New Facility for Retired Priests

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

They spend their lives giving to God and their community, and now they can be certain that when the time comes, they will be cared for too.

Ground was broken on the new St. John Vianney Residence for Priests Friday, in a lot adjacent to the John Paul II High School on Kostoryz and Saratoga. Need for this type of housing is great, as the number of local priests who reach retirement age grows.

The $5.5 million project is funded by local Catholics, and the St. John Vianney Residence for Priests should be up and running by late next year.
