CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Islanders' men's basketball program is trying to set their upcoming postseason ban to the side as they host a summer youth camp this week and the next.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi coaches and players have been on hand this week to teach kids younger and older the fundamentals of the game as they begin their aspiring basketball careers. The Islanders say they have spots open in next week's session and registration can be completed at islandersbasketballcamp.com
Coach Willis Wilson is hosting his second camp as the Islanders' man at the helm. Wilson says it's a good way to try and keep the Islanders' standing in the community with the recent athletics troubles that he and the university are currently having to deal with from the previous coaching administration.
