Many pre-teens look forward to the opportunity to try out for a spot on the high school football team.

At Bishop Garriga Middle Preparatory School, students are getting ahead of some of their peers by making history with a new football program.

Principal Mario Vasquez and the Most Rev. Edmond Carmody explained the new program and safety measures for students to John Thomas.
