CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A man was stabbed half a dozen times in the head and back around midnight on Tuesday, and is now fighting for his life.
"The subject had six or more stab wounds, very deep, possibly life threatening, and he got transported to the hospital for a follow-up," said Lt. Robert Alvarado of the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Officials said the victim was in the parking lot of a bar on Kostoryz when he walked over to another bar to use the phone. That's when he was chased down by three or four men, and stabbed numerous times.
Police said the violence may be gang related.
The victim, a man in his forties, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. So far police have made no arrests.
