Bar Altercation Ends with One Dead, One Injured

Occurred on 6/29/12, 10:05 p.m.  Murder/Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon  4320 Ayers

Officers responded to the Cadillac Bar for a shooting with multiple victims.   Upon their arrival, Officers found a 41-year-old man just inside the entrance to the bar with gunshot wounds to the head and chest.  A 36-year-old man was found inside the bar with a gunshot to the leg.   Both victims were rushed to Spohn Memorial by CCFD Emergency Personnel.

Further investigation revealed the 41-year-old man and the suspect became involved in an altercation.  During the disagreement, the suspect drew a firearm and fatally shot the victim, who was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.  The 36-year-old victim was treated and released.

Patrol Officers, Homicide/Robbery Detectives, along with Gang Unit Investigators were able to develop information in their investigations which identified the suspect.  Detective R. Lee was able to obtain an arrest warrant on Jose Alfredo Moreno, 29, for Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  His bond was set at $1,000,000.  Moreno is described as a Hispanic male, 5'7″ feet tall and weighing 185 lbs.
