CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A standoff situation involving U.S. Marshals and the Corpus Christi Police Department SWAT Team developed at around 2:15 p.m. at a home on the 5000 block of Cape Romain, in a neighborhood off Alameda.

Officials have confirmed that the home belongs to Sue Farenthold, sister of U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold.

The Corpus Christi Police Department received a tip that drug-related activity was taking place at a home on Cape Romain. A search warrant was acquired, and officials chose the nearby Montclair Elementary School as the staging area for their operation.

When officers arrived, they called the home by telephone and by megaphone, requesting that everyone come out of the house. When no one came out, police fired off tear-gas canisters into the home, prompting four individuals, three males and one female, to exit the house.

No arrests have been made, but the four individuals are being questioned by police.

The SWAT Team finished a walkthrough of them home, and found no other individuals. The Corpus Christi Fire Department arrived on scene to ventilate the home so that the police department's Narcotics and Vice Investigations Division can conduct their investigation.
