Kimbo the K9 Leads Assists Police in Robbery Arrest - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

A suspected thief has wound up behind bars with the help of man's best friend.

At around 10 p.m. Monday, at the Stripes store on the 3300 block of Baldwin, police said 46-year old Ricardo Gonzalez walked into the store and stole a 12-pack of beer, assaulting a 17-year old clerk as he made his getaway.

Officers soon arrived, along with Kimbo the K9. Kimbo led officers to a home in the 500 block of Osage, where Gonzalez was arrested.

Gonzalez is now facing numerous charges including robbery.
