CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Corpus Christi's Lindale neighborhood got into the patriotic spirit for the Fourth of July, thanks to state Rep. Todd Hunter.
Throughout the neighborhood, American flags were placed in each yard. The Lindale Neighborhood Association did all the work, starting Tuesday night and finishing up Wednesday morning.
Hunter paid for the flags himself.
"We have a Lindale Association now, and I think maybe they're responsible, just for trying to pick up the mood here in this section of town," said Evelyn McCarty, a resident of the Lindale neighborhood.
Association President Art Granado put out most of the flags, numbering in the hundreds.
