TAAF Seeking Local Restaurant, Business Food Sponsors

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation is looking for local restaurants and businesses who are willing to provide food for events at the 2012 Summer Games of Texas.

Athletes and spectators from all over Texas are expected to be at the events, which will take place in various venues throughout the Coastal Bend from July 26-29. The TAAF is expecting more than 8,000 people at the events, and are looking for a way to feed them.

Most of their needs are finger foods, such as taquitos, hot dogs, fruit trays, etc. Summer Games officials say they can pick up food from anywhere in Corpus Christi. They would be happy to include any promotional materials at the events, or hang up banners from the restaurants and businesses that are kind enough to help.

There is also going to be a VIP party from 6-8 p.m. at Heritage Park on Friday, July 7. They expect about 50 people, including sponsors and dignitaries, to be there. For this event, they need heavy hor d'oeuvres, fruit trays and drinks.

If your restaurant or business would be interested in being a part of the Summer Games of Texas, please contact Angela Gonzalez at 361-826-3673, or email her at angelamr@cctexas.com.
