A local Christian radio station, KBNJ 91.7 FM, made a big donation to a local resource center for pregnant women on Friday.
"This is just part of the blessings we have received for the CC Pregnancy Resource Center," said Melinda Kitzmiller, morning show co-host at KBNJ.
The folks at the radio station collected diapers and wipes from their listeners during the month of June, and on Friday, they handed them over to the Corpus Christi Pregnancy Resource Center.
The Center, which is located on Everhart near McArdle, offers free women's services like pregnancy testing, sonograms and counseling. They also give out goods like clothing, diapers and wipes to mothers in need.
"Parents come in and earn diapers and wipes, so it's a win-win situation. They learn how to become good parents," said Shar Garrett with the CC Pregnancy Resource Center. "Also, moms learn what is going to happen during pregnancy, and learn how to be a good parent after the baby arrives. During that time, they earn baby bucks, blankets, diapers and wipes."
KBNJ listeners were able to contribute more than 100 packs of diapers, and 100 packs of baby wipes to the center on Friday.
