Morning Burglary Foiled by Emergency 911 Call

Occurred on 7/11/12, 3:37am     Burglary, outstanding warrants    10342 River Run Blvd

Two teenage female residents of an apartment heard the sound of someone breaking in. They exited their apartment and called police. When officers arrived they noticed that a window screen had been removed and was lying on the ground. Officers entered the apartment to search for the intruder and located him hiding inside a closet. The suspect, Brandon Portillo,19, was arrested. Several electronics were discovered unplugged and a television from the apartment was found outside. The victims recognized Brandon Portillo as a fellow resident of the same apartment complex. Brandon Portillo was also discovered to have two outstanding warrants, one for contempt of court, the other for non-compliance.
