CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - Table tennis is one of the latest rages at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and the school has already produced some of the nation's top talent.
Islanders students Washin "Nin" Leeskul, Xiaoling "Shelly" Huang and Thi Nguyen all took home hardware at the 2012 College Table Tennis National Championships in Bloomington, Indiana earlier this month. Leeskul won first place in the men's double competition and second in the singles while Huang and Nguyen finished second in doubles as a pair.
The three helped spearhead the founding of the table tennis club last year and just recently saw it become an officially recognized institution on campus. They say it's a great way to help stay in shape indoors, especially in this brutally hot summer.
