Police Looking to Identify Credit Card Thieves

Reported on 6/24/12,  6:22 am  Auto Burglary/Forgery/Credit Card Abuse

The Financial Crimes Division is asking the public's assistance to help identify two suspects involved in  a Credit Card Abuse investigation  in which credit cards were used at the Wal-Mart and Walgreens on Saratoga. The victim's credit cards were taken in an auto burglary from Gold's Gym earlier in the day.

The female is described as a heavyset White female with a tattoo on her right shoulder.  She was last seen wearing shorts and a tank top.  She was also accompanied by a thin White male wearing work boots, tan pants and a gray t-shirt.

    Two Edinburg Police Officers are recovering after they were shot Tuesday evening in La Joya as they attempted to serve a capital murder warrant. The suspect in the shooting, 29-year-old Joaquin Cibrian, was shot and killed following an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement. Cibrian was arrested in September of last year in Alice for allegedly using city equipment and materials to make extra cash. He was a city employee at the time.More >>
