CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A fence and crime scene tape did not deter two men who were accused of stealing valuable metal from the Coastal Haven Senior Apartments on Wednesday night.
Police said that 43-year old Raymond Dubberke, along with 39-year old Robert Curry, tried getting away with $20,000 worth of air conditioning metals from the complex on Everhart. The damaged apartments remain fenced off following last month's massive blaze that left more than 20 residents homeless.
Police said the two men were seen running from the complex Wednesday night. Both were arrested and charged with burglary and metal theft.
