It has been nearly seven months to the day since the brutal murder of an 88-year old Corpus Christi woman.
One of two teens charged in the stabbing death of Christina Naranjo began the process Thursday to determine whether he will be tried as an adult.
Family members of the teen spent the day in juvenile court, hearing testimony and looking at evidence. Because of the nature of the case, the media was not allowed inside of the courtroom.
It was on January 14 that Naranjo was attacked and robbed in her home on the 200 block of Tancahua Street. Two teens reportedly fled the scene but were captured a few hours later.
The district attorney wants to have both suspects certified as adults to stand trial for capital murder. The judge hearing the case said it will be some time before that determination is made.
