CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
There was standing room only in the City Council Chambers Friday morning as a discussion took place regarding Texas Windstorm Insurance and a potential rate increase.
Coastal cities, such as Corpus Christi, Ingleside, Rockport, Port Aransas and Aransas Pass, could be facing more rate increases on all property insurance policies. A rally was held to discuss the situation. A Texas Department of Insurance hearing was supposed to take place as well, but was postponed for a later date.
State Representatives Todd Hunter and Connie Scott, along with mayors, county judges and residents from coastal areas, were in attendance.
