Fatal Accident Near Clarkwood

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Department of Public Safety troopers said a combination of driving too fast and not wearing a seatbelt claimed the life of a 62-year old man Friday morning.

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on County Road 36 near Clarkwood. DPS Sr. Corporal Charlie Ramirez said that Henry F. Alaniz was behind the wheel when he lost control, veered off the gravel road and flipped his truck. Alaniz was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
