CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
It was a homerun for Goodwill Industries on Friday as the Corpus Christi Hooks teamed up with them and Whataburger to help the less fortunate.
"To be able to get out and communicate with the community, and to be able to do something for Goodwill and get out is always a good thing," Hooks infielder Brandon Wikoff said.
Wikoff was hanging out at the Whataburger in the 4500 block of Violet Road Friday afternoon, where fans had the chance to meet the players. Everyone who donated a gently used clothing item received a new Hooks t-shirt, a voucher for two tickets to a future Hooks game and a free Whataburger.
If you missed your chance to participate in the promotion on Friday, another donation drive with the Hooks will take place August 10.
