CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports)- The Corpus Christi Hooks jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they routed the Frisco Rough Riders 12-2 on Friday night at Whataburger Field.
Every member of the Hooks' starting lineup had at least 1 hit as Corpus Christi won on their home turf for the 13th time in 15 games.
Austin Wates, who knocked in 6 runs in the Hooks' comeback win on Thursday night, went 4-5 on Friday night with two more runs batted in.
The Hooks' win, combined with Midland's 10-0 victory over San Antonio, moved Corpus Christi into sole possession of 1st place in the Texas League South.
