LONGVIEW, TEXAS (KYTX) Let's hope for great weather for next week's Great Texas Balloon race in Longview. Now's you're chance to be part of the crew.
Volunteer crew members are still needed. The hardest part of it all is getting up early. The day starts about 5 a.m. for crew members but organizers say the work isn't that hard to do.
"What they will do is get the balloon out, lay it out, inflate it, and get it up. Once the pilot gets off the ground, the crew will get back in the vehicle and you'll just chase them around town," says Jennifer Blackman.
Crew members will be done with their job around 10 in the morning so you can head in to work after that. For more information on how to be part of the crew or just find out more about the event go to greattexasballoonrace.com.
