A missing disabled woman who was last seen by her family on Thursday was found early Tuesday morning walking near her home.
According to family members, 23-year-old Brittany Gonzalez was found by her stepfather, and according to the police report, Gonzalez left on her own free will and returned voluntarily.
She was taken to Doctor's Regional Medical Center for evaluation on Tuesday, and later to the police station for an interrogation. Family members are happy to have her back home.
"She had a scared look on her face, but she is going to be alright," her stepfather Ernest Manchaca said. "Thank God for everything."
"I'm grateful to God, and I knew that He was going to help us out," said her mother, Melinda Manchaca.
Detectives will continue to investigate, and at this time, no criminal charges have been filed.
