CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

School starts next Monday for Tuloso-Midway students, and the City of Corpus Christi is launching 'Operation Safe Return' to help those kids and their parents with some of their most critical back-to-school needs.

The Corpus Christi Police Department and Parks and Recreation are holding a huge event from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at West Guth Park on Saturday, July 21. There will be free physicals performed for students, as well as low-cost immunizations. Vision testing and free school supplies are also part of the deal.

The event is open to the public, and most of the offerings are free, or almost free. All attendants at Operation Safe Return get free admittance to the West Guth Park Pool for the day.
