Young San Antonio Woman Killed in Rollover Accident - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

One young woman was killed and another was injured in a rollover accident at 3 a.m. Wednesday, on I-37 just seven miles south of Mathis.

Department of Public Safety investigators said the driver, 20-year old Ashley Mary Rendon of San Antonio, drifted off the road and then over corrected, causing her car to run into a ditch and rollover.

Rendon was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene.

Her 25-year old passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained internal injuries. She was transported via HALO-Flight to Christus Spohn Memorial.
