CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Assistant City Manager Troy Riggs is organizing a team of City employees to improve the Flour Bluff area.
Beginning in August, Code Enforcement officers, police and other representatives from the City will do a sweep of the area and talk to residents about city code violations. They will hand out warnings to anyone in violation.
It's all part of Operation Proud Partnership.
"We want to be proactive," Riggs said. "We're going to go in the area, identify code enforcement issues, any criminal-type issues we have. If we have to take law enforcement we will."
Riggs said 11-percent of the City's code enforcement complaints come from the Flour Bluff area. These changes have already taken place in the Hillcrest community and near City Hall.
