CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Rudy Garza, Jr., has thrown his hat in the ring for a soon-to-be vacant City Council Seat.
"I'm in it. I'm interested in streets, infrastructure," Garza said. "I've served on the planning commission for the last eight years, so I know exactly what the City's position is."
Before Garza's eight-year stretch with the planning committee, he spent time on the Appraisal Board and in the private sector.
Garza is running for the District 5 Council seat, which Larry Elizondo is vacating. John Valls with the Regional Transportation Authority is also vying for that seat.
Election Day is November 6.
