A three-year-old had a wild ride late Friday night when a car-jacker swiped a car with the little girl still in the backseat.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. at a gas station on the 1400 block of Washington Boulevard in Beaumont.
Police say both adults stepped out of the car to get gas. They were then approached by a man asking for money and a cigarette.
The carjacker then jumped into the car and sped away with the three year old still inside.
About 20 minutes later officers got a call from someone who lives on Willow Wood in Beaumont saying a small child was knocking at his front door.
Police say the child was not hurt.
No arrests have been made.
