CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -  A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot in the stomach around one o'clock Saturday morning.

Police were called out to the 2500 block of Tarlton near Port. That's where they say a 15 year old burglarized a home. The teen, police say, stole a couple of guns, prescription medication, and a gaming system. As the 15 year-old was walking home, police say he tried to sell the stolen loot.

Two men later showed up at the home of where the teenager and his family live. Police say they planned on hijacking the stolen items...which did not belong to them.

The two men, who've been identified as Daniel Granado, 61, and Manuel Villarreal, 49 got into a fight with the teenager's brother. The brother was shot by one of the men.

They're charged with aggravated assault. The victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He's expected to survive.
