LONGVIEW, TEXAS (KYTX) 86 year old Bobby Jo Walker wanted to make sure she got regular exercise at her senior living community in Longview. She started her own work out classes.
Many of her fellow residents joined in stretching, flexing and lifting their way to better health. They range in age from 78 to 99. The group meets three days a week.
"It's sort of like the tin man in the Wizard of Oz. If we don't use our joins and muscles, they freeze and we won't be able to do half of the things that we need to do as we age," says Walker.
Since the class got started, it has grown from 12 to an average of about 30 people.
