Fatal shooting in Groves

Groves police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Monday night in the 3200 block of Cleveland. According to police, a 25-year-old man was shot in the chest, possibly by a shotgun, around 9:45. The victim was transported to Christus Hospital St. Mary where he died from his injuries. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Police have a person of interest. Police tell 12 News HD they are looking for 25-year-old John Mason Broadway. He's described as 5'8", 180 lbs, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Police say he is driving a white/silver Chevrolet truck. Police tell us he has been spotted in Nederland since the shooting. Call police if you see him. He's considered armed and dangerous.

Police do not have a motive for the shooting at this time.
