Accident blocks westbound I-10 in Orange

The Department of Public Safety had to have all westbound traffic blocked on a section of Interstate 10 while troopers and other emergency first-responders worked an accident shortly before noon on Tuesday.

The accident happened near the Interstate 10 bridge over Adam's Bayou.

Troopers on the scene could not give many details of the accident.

Witnesses said speed appeared to be a factor.
