GOLIAD (Kiii News) -
A total of 15 people are now confirmed dead in the immigrant crash that happened over the weekend.
There were 23 undocumented immigrants riding in a Ford F-250 when it veered off of Highway 59 and crashed into a couple of trees 10 miles south of Goliad Sunday.
The Department of Public Safety has released the name of the driver, who was one of the 11 people pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 22-year old Ricardo Mendoz-Pineda of Mexico.
Federal and state investigators are still working on identifying everyone involved. So far, the names of 10 people have been confirmed.
