So what happens now in neighborhoods where the City has gone in with a major cleanup effort? That's the question Council members had for Assistant City Manager Troy Riggs on Tuesday.
Riggs was there for an update on the recent cleanups in the Hillcrest and City Hall neighborhoods. More police officers were sent in to make drug arrests, and code enforcement officers were forcing more property owners to cleanup or else; but the question was: would property owners be held responsible for keeping up those standards?
Riggs said that the property owners with violations have been told to clean up and if they don't they'll be taken to court.
