OSHA investigating on-the-job death

Posted: Updated:

A Vidor business says it is working closely with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to investigate the on-the-job death of an employee.

A spokesman for Southeast Texas Industries says the 40-year-old man from Orange died around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from a "work related incident."

The name of the employee has not been released.

The spokesman says an on-site safety team treated the employee until EMS could arrive.  The man was later pronounced dead at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
