Man who died in work-related incident identified

A spokesperson for Southeast Texas Industries, Inc in Vidor has identified a man who died in a work-related incident Wednesday.

The company released the following news release shortly after noon Thursday:

Preliminary results into the investigation of an Orange man's death Wednesday, have determined that the 40 year old man was electrocuted.

The work related incident occurred approximately at 2:30pm at the Southeast Texas Industries, Inc. fabrication facility in Vidor.

The deceased was identified as Jason E. Reed. His next of kin have been notified and funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
