CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
The Old Washington school portable building is now just a pile of rubble.
The building, located near N. Alameda and Lobo Street, was scheduled for demolition weeks ago as part of the Operation Proud Partnership initiative, which aims to identify under-served areas of town and clean them up.
The demolition project was delayed because the school portable contained asbestos, which had to be cleared out before demolition. That part of the process has been completed, and on Monday, nothing is left but a pile of rubble.
