Corpus Christi (Kiii News) - This morning commissioners of the Port of Corpus Christi accepted a $7 million bid by Occidental Petroleum for the 100 acre campus on the site of former Naval Station Ingleside. The company has given the Port a deposit of $1 million by cashier's check. The company has 60 days to close the deal Commissioner Mike Carroll told Kiii News he doesn't expect the closing to take more than 60 days and probably will be accomplished in less time. At this point Occidental has not decided on how it will use the 100 acre tract of land.
