Arrest made in Orange bank robbery

The Orange Police Department has informed 12News HD an arrest had been made in the robbery of the Capital One Bank on 16th Street.

A police spokesperson issued the following statement Tuesday afternoon:

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012, Detectives with the Orange Police Department followed up on a tip and identified the suspect in the July 27th robbery of the Capital One Bank branch at 3738 16th St. in Orange. An arrest warrant for robbery was obtained for the suspect.

The suspect was located and arrested in Sulphur, Louisiana, with the assistance of the Sulphur Police Department. The suspect is a resident of Sulphur, LA.

The suspect will be held in the Calcasieu Parish Jail, pending extradition to Texas.
