The Latest on Run-Off Election Day: Part I

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Voters headed to the polls once again Tuesday, to decide run-off races on the Democrat and Republican sides.

The Nueces County Courthouse was the place to be Tuesday night if you are a candidate, family member, friend or supporter. It's where the latest returns will be handed out by county elections officials.

Kiii News will also have those results for you, plus a full wrap-up of the election day at 10 p.m.

Part of that coverage is going to focus on what's happening in the District 43 race. We found Bill Wilson and J.M. Lozano doing some last-minute campaigning in Portland.

Wilson chose to do his work along the street in front of the community center. He finished second in the Republican primary election, but received more than enough votes to force a run-off. His opponent is actually the incumbent, J.M. Lozano, but Lozano ran and won the job as a Democrat two years ago and has now switched parties.

Finding himself in a run-off, Lozano realized that San Patricio County voters could make or break his campaign. Wilson also agrees that county will be the key to victory Tuesday night.
