Accused courthouse shooter Bartholomew Granger, who has already been indicted on 9 counts for a March 14, 2012 bloody rampage outside the Jefferson County Courthouse, was indicted today on 1 count of capital murder.
Granger is accused of killing Minnie Sebolt, 79, of Deweyville, and critically injuring his own daughter, Samantha Jackson, who had testified against Granger during a trial in which Granger was accused of sexual assault.
On March 29, the Jefferson County Grand Jury handed up one count of murder, three counts of attempted capital murder, four counts of aggravated kidnapping and one count of aggravated assault. An additional indictment of capital murder was handed up August 2.
Granger remains in the Jefferson County Jail on $4 million in bonds.
