Five Cars Rear-End Each Other on SPID

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A five-car accident created a traffic mess on SPID near Everhart Thursday afternoon.

Police said the driver of a white sport utility vehicle from out of town was looking at her GPS when she rear-ended the car in front of her, causing a chain reaction in which four vehicles total were rear-ended.

The driver of the first car that was rear-ended was taken to the hospital to be checked out. The driver of the white SUV was issued a ticket for the accident.
