A driver ran off the road after getting into an argument with his passengers Friday morning on FM 624 in Bluntzer, just west of Calallen.
State Troopers said the driver of a gray sport utility vehicle let go of the wheel to argue with his son in the backseat when the vehicle started to veer off the road. Another of his sons, who was in the front seat, tried to bring the vehicle back onto the road, but by that time it was too late.
The SUV crashed into the brush. Thankfully, there were no major injuries.
"If you are going to argue with someone in a vehicle, pull over to side of road," Trooper James Burdett said. "There is no reason to take a 65-mph vehicle and put other people in danger. He came across the east-bound lane of traffic. Could have been a head on, and a very much worse crash than we had."
The driver of the SUV will be ticketed for causing the crash.
