City leaders are hoping you will Go Local this weekend and support local businesses.
"The effort is called Go Local," said Chad Magill of the Downtown Management District. "It's about being a part of your community, and reinvesting those dollars right back into your community."
This weekend is the kickoff for the Go Local incentive program. Folks can purchase a card that will get them special discounts at locally-owned businesses. Right now, about 30 area businesses have signed up to take part in the program.
The cards are $15 and good until October of next year. To find out where you can get a card and what businesses are participating, you can go to their Web site at www.golocalcorpuschristi.com.
