Antique Roadshow Stops in Corpus Christi

Posted: Updated:

Antiques Roads made a stop today here in Corpus Christi. It was one of the six cities to host the reality show. Anayeli Ruiz was at the show she tells us more on what hidden treasures they found here.  Thousands of people showed up with their most valuable  treasures  many of them traveled across the country to be here.

"We have tried for ten years to get on the show. We live outside of Las Vegas and my son is from Trilingua, Texas. He got the tickets and that was my mothers day present," said Gale.

Everyone was anxious to learn more about the history or value of their prized Possession.

"This is the kind of stuff that we need to find out about, because their is so many resources and these are things we cant get a clue on," said  Sancho.

And Corpus Christi had surprising number of hidden treasures.

"Here we are in the South of Texas with amazing things coming in, many six figure objects and that doesn't happen in every city," said Marsha Bemko  the Executive Producer or the Antiques Road show.

One of the most expensive objects that they found this summer was a painting worth thousands of dollars right here in Corpus Christi.

"It was a painting by Korin that we appraised from 800 to one million dollars and that is this seasons big find," said Bemko.

They will release the air dates for these shows in September. It's up to the appraisers and producers to decide weather or not they would be on the show.
