An Aransas County woman said she is afraid for her life after burglars broke into her home and stole her rifles over the weekend.
Chelsea Irwin and her husband left for vacation on Friday. Irwin's mother stopped by the house Sunday morning and noticed the front door had been kicked in. She said burglars took two rifles, each worth $500.
The strange part is, the burglars walked past lots of expensive items, including flat screen television sets, DVD players and even money, but only took the rifles.
"I'm very paranoid, you know, that they're going to come back and shoot through the house," Irwin said. "It's just, I don't understand why they just took the guns and nothing else of value in the house, so it's nerve racking."
Irwin said the burglars left the clip and extra bullets.
