Four people had to be rushed to the hospital following a collision at the busy intersection of North Port and Lipan on Monday.
"The vehicle on Lipan had a red light. They ran it," said Jorge Coello of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "Pretty much caused the collision right in the middle of the intersection."
Police said it was a blue sport utility vehicle that ran a red light and collided with a red SUV, which was traveling down Port. The driver of the blue SUV, as well as three people in the red SUV, were taken to Christus Spohn Memorial to be checked out. They are all expected to be okay.
The driver of the blue SUV was cited for running the red light.
