BISHOP (Kiii News) -
High speeds and a sharp curve led to an 18-wheeler accident just north of Kleberg County on Highway 77 Tuesday afternoon.
It was just after 2:30 p.m. when Department of Public Safety troopers arrived on the scene. They said the driver of a big rig took a curve too fast, causing the truck to turn over onto its side and scrape across a grass median.
Some of the trucks cargo, which included seat belt hardware, spilled out. Fortunately, the driver wasn't seriously hurt.
The driver received a citation for failure to control speed.
