(KCEN) -- Country music singer Randy Travis was arrested outside of Tioga, Texas around 11:18 p.m. on August 7 for driving while intoxicated and retaliation.
The Grayson County Sheriff's Office received a call about a man lying in the road on FM 922 outside of Tioga.
Troopers went to the scene and arrested Travis. He had been involved in a one-vehicle accident, smelled strongly of alcohol and showed signs of intoxication.
He refused a blood and breath test but a blood test was taken at a local hospital after a warrant was granted for it.
While Travis was being transported, he made threats to shoot and kill the Troopers, which was the cause of the retaliation charge.
His bond for the driving while intoxicated charge was set at $1,500 and the bond for the retaliation charge was set at $20,000. Travis will be released if and when he posts bond.
