Final arguments in a sexual assault case were brought before jurors Wednesday. The jury found 25-year old John Raul Valenzuela not guilty of sexual assault of a minor.
Valenzuela was accused of raping and sodomizing a 10-year old family member on several occasions when the girl was six and seven years old.
Both sides rested Tuesday, after the 10-year old girl took the stand.
The nurse that examined the 10-year old girl said she had no visible scars on her body or private parts, but the nurse also said she didn't expect to find any evidence of assault, because private parts heal quickly.
During cross examination on Tuesday, the defense the case that the victim would have to have some trauma or tearing in the vaginal area.
