Corpus Christi Medical Center's Doctors Regional is celebrating the opening of a new inpatient rehab unit.
Unlike most other physical therapy locations, this one is located within the hospital, giving patients 24/7 access to care.
The center is stocked with state of the art equipment and is staffed with registered nurses and highly trained therapists.
"We have therapists that treat strokes, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, knee replacements, back surgeries," said Tammy Chopelas of CCMC's new inpatient rehab program. "You name it, we do it."
The center has 15 private rooms, and caters to patients undergoing physical, occupational or speech rehabilitation.
