Emergency Responders Hurt in Robstown Fire

ROBSTOWN (Kiii News) -

A Corpus Christi firefighter has been sent via HALO Flight to a burn unit in San Antonio after responding to a blaze at 2nd and Main St. in Robstown.

The emergency responder has not been identified. Investigators said he has suffered second- and third-degree burns to his face and arms.

The accident happened shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday after a wall collapsed at a Dollar General store in Robstown. Three other firefighters were also hurt in the fire. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The fire has been extinguished, and the cause is unknown at this time. Kiii News will have more on the situation as facts come out.
